Language and Language Technology
2024 Summer Camp: We all use, think, discuss and learn languages. BUT have you ever wondered how scientists, called linguists, study language and how computational linguists use what we know about language to build language models such as ChatGPT?
If so, join us for a camp focussing on investigating language used by humans and dissecting the way language technology works.
This camp is for students aged 11-14 years.

Create Your Own Artificial Intelligence
2023 Summer Camp: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is defined as "using computers to do things that traditionally require human intelligence such as visual perceptions, speech recognition, decision making, etc." How can we make computers do these things? That is what you will discover in this camp. Using a program called EdgeImpulse, you will train your own cell phone or laptop to classify what it sees, hears and feels. AI Engineers and Data Scientists will be impressed.
This camp is designed for students aged 12-16 years.
